5 wishy-washy things I sometimes think about writing that show, if anything, that I don't write enough

  1. How writing makes the hand move down the quiet page almost as if soothing it.
  2. How its motion (across & down... across & down...) is like suturing a shrapnel wound.
  3. How it is not unlike bottle feeding an abandoned marsupial.
  4. How (like the summer's heat) it makes resin bleed from the fence posts.
  5. How it is the opposite of painting, where things start as fluids but end dried up and in shapes.
